I hate to admit it, but I just don't have time for my bus anymore, so she needs to go to a new home.
Right now she needs a new battery and a couple hours of a tune-up and she'll run just fine. She's never had a rebuild, so it's definitely on the horizon, but somebody who wants to sink $1000 into her will have a kickass bus for $2200, and what more could you ask for than that? She's fully camperized with a poptop and foldout bed, detachable table, icebox, and a coleman heater (although I've never used it, I'm scared of gas!). She does have some rust damage in the usual spots like windows and door locks, but the frame and doglegs are sound. Compression was better than 110 all around last time I tested her.
I lived in this bus for a year, took her all over BC and the west coast down to California and back. I always did my own maintenance, and below is a list of work that I've done on her. But these days I'm running my own business and just don't have the time to give her the love she deserves, and living in the city I don't really need a car. She's been parked for a couple of years and had some tinkering, but the time has come for me to let her go. I'd like her to go to someone who will take care of her and appreciate how great she is. I have all the manuals and quite a few extra parts (including the kids' cot for the front seats, and a spare windsheild just in case).
Interested? Send me a message.
Here's a list of the work I've done on her:
--new clutch
--new fuel tank
--new airflow meter and fuel injectors
--new fuel pump
--replaced electronic ignition with stock system
--new distributor
--standard maintenance like fuel lines, fuel ring in injection system, plug wires, etc.
